Sam Marie-Saint
Sam Mare-Saint's career in photography began while studying directing and cinematography in film school. His first inspirations were punk music, bebop jazz, and French New Wave and Italian cinema, particularly the films of Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut, Federico Fellini, and Michelangelo Antonioni. Originally a landscape and street photographer, Marie-Saint turned to fashion shortly after finishing his education, combining the elements of fashion, street, and landscape photography into a cinematic narrative. After an experimental phase, he moved to Paris to develop his look and portfolio before eventually settling in New York City, where he now lives and works.
