On Saturday, June 7, starting at 10.15 am, Roger A Deakins and his wife and collaborator James Ellis Deakins will be special guests at Cine Gear Expo 2025 in Los Angeles. On this occasion, the renowned cinematographer will take part in A Lifetime of Visual Storytelling, a conversation moderated by American Cinematographer Magazine, tracing the journey of Team Deakins — from Roger’s early days in Torquay to their work on some of the most iconic films in cinema history. Following the talk, Team Deakins will be available to sign copies of book Byways (Damiani, 2021).
