The updated edition of the outstanding volume ‘100 Superlative Rolex Watches’, first published in 2008 by author John Goldberger, is now available. Nearly twenty years after the release of the original edition, this new version offers a fascinating journey into the very essence of the Rolex spirit, celebrating one hundred years of Rolex history through one hundred exceptional examples.

The book has now been enriched with new images and information on some of the rarest and most unique Rolex watches ever produced.

After almost one hundred and twenty years of the Rolex brand’s history, founded in 1908, this remarkable work presents one hundred extraordinary timepieces selected through painstaking research carried out in collaboration with some of the world’s most renowned collectors. Each watch has been photographed in exceptional detail to highlight the distinctive characteristics of its movement, case, and dial.

The selection of these one hundred masterpieces also serves to focus the research within what would otherwise be an immensely vast field, capturing the true essence of a brand that has likely contributed more than any other to the development of the wristwatch.

Author John Goldberger has been collecting and studying vintage watches for more than fifty years. Over the decades, he has spent countless enjoyable hours exploring watch shops, flea markets, conventions, and auctions around the world. He has now chosen to revise and expand this magnificent volume with additional rare photos and updated descriptions.

John Golberger has been collecting and studying vintage watches for over 45 years. He still spends many hours browsing through watch shops, old libraries, museums, flea markets and auctions. He is a true horological scholar and serious collector of the highest order. Goldberger is the author of ‘100 Superlative Rolex Watches’, ‘Patek Philippe Steel Watches’, ‘Longines Watches’, ‘Longines Legendary Watches’, ‘Journey into the Deep’, ‘Omega Watches’, ‘Time to Race’ and ‘Time to Wear’ books.
